Begin from the bead adjacent to the Guru bead and chant your chosen mantra.
Use your thumb and middle finger to move each bead — do not use the index finger.
Complete one full round of 108 beads. To repeat, reverse the mala at the Guru bead — do not cross it.
Store in a clean cloth or mala bag when not in use. Keep away from the floor and unclean areas.
